Terms of use
The short version. Play for fun, play fair. Gold is virtual and has no cash value. Your progress lives on your phone. Your legal rights as a consumer are not affected.

The Highlander is provided by CosmoLabs Ltd, registered in Scotland (company number SC883326). Contact: hello@cosmolabs.co.uk.
Apple's terms also apply
You download the game from the App Store, so Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement applies alongside these terms. If they conflict, Apple's terms prevail on the points they cover.
Licence
We give you a personal, non-transferable licence to use the game on Apple devices you own or control, for your own non-commercial entertainment. You must not copy, modify, reverse engineer or resell the game or its content, except where the law allows.
The game is fiction
The Highlander is a work of fiction. It draws inspiration from Scottish history and folklore but reimagines events, people and places. It is not a historical record.
Gold and purchases
- Gold is a virtual currency used only inside the game. It has no cash value and cannot be exchanged, transferred or refunded by us for money.
- Gold packs are bought through Apple, and Apple's payment terms apply. Refunds are handled by Apple via reportaproblem.apple.com.
- Gold is a consumable. Spent Gold cannot be restored.
- In the UK you normally have 14 days to cancel a digital purchase. When you buy Gold you ask for it to be delivered immediately and agree that you lose that right once delivery starts. This does not affect your statutory rights where the Gold is faulty or not as described.
Your progress
Your saved game is stored only on your device. If you delete the app, use Delete Save Data, or lose the device without a backup, your progress and Gold are lost and we cannot recover them.
Fair play
Please play as intended. Changing your device's clock to gain an advantage is ignored by the game. If we find that leaderboard entries were obtained unfairly, we may remove them.
Game Center
Game Center is optional and provided by Apple. Your use of it is subject to Apple's terms.
Changes and availability
We may update, change or withdraw the game or features of it, for example to fix problems or improve the game. We do not promise it will be available without interruption.
Our responsibility
Nothing in these terms limits our liability where the law does not allow it, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or your statutory consumer rights. Subject to that, we are not liable for losses that were not a foreseeable result of our breach, or for lost progress caused by deleting the app or losing a device.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of Scotland. If you live in Scotland, the Scottish courts have jurisdiction. If you live elsewhere in the UK you may also bring a claim in the courts of your home nation.
